Lighting and VFX Artist

We are currently seeking a talented Lighting and VFX Artist Combo to join a small, dynamic mobile game studio based in the US. This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates in the PST time zone (US/Canada).

As a Lighting and VFX Artist Combo, you will play an integral role in the art team, collaborating closely with the Art Supervisor. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise in both lighting and visual effects, while contributing to the creation of engaging and immersive experiences for mobile gamers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unity Engine experience is highly desired, though candidates with proprietary engine experience from major AAA studios are welcome. If you're familiar with Unreal, in-game experience in lighting and VFX is essential, and a willingness to quickly learn Unity is expected.
• Perform lighting work directly in-game, with a focus on mobile platforms.
• Design and implement VFX Art, combining both creative and technical expertise.
• Work closely with the Art Supervisor to deliver stunning visual effects and lighting that enhances the overall player experience.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure artistic consistency across different aspects of the game.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the team.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in lighting and VFX within a game engine (Unity preferred, Unreal acceptable).
• Strong portfolio showcasing your in-game lighting and VFX work (both required).
• Experience in mobile game development is a significant advantage.
• A genuine passion for gaming and a strong understanding of what makes a great game visually.
• Familiarity with NFT/Blockchain is a plus, though it’s not a requirement.
