About the team and the role:
eBay Live is a new way to sell on eBay, where sellers and buyers interact live on video. eBay sellers build buyer trust, expand their customer base, and grow repeat business through consistent and engaging live streams on eBay Live. eBay buyers can view, chat, ask questions, give feedback, vote, and buy online during eBay Live selling.
We are seeking a Live Operations Specialist to support sellers across UK & Germany to provide issue resolution and support sellers streaming confidently on eBay Live. They will support the PMO to provide operational improvements and implement materials to help sellers navigate the platform confidently.
What You Will Accomplish:
Seller Product Support
- Serve as a key point of contact for seller-related issues, demonstrating deep empathy and a strong understanding of the seller experience in both the UK and DE markets.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Support and Product teams across regions to identify, report, and monitor seller-impacting issues.
- Ensure timely communication with sellers by documenting, tracking, and providing updates on issue resolution progress.
- Proactively gather seller feedback to identify recurring pain points and help drive meaningful product improvements.
External Communications to Sellers
- Support and scale seller communications for eBay Live events, ensuring alignment with existing protocols and best practices.
- Help automate communication workflows as the initiative grows, ensuring a seamless experience for participating sellers.
Operations Playbook & Automationa
- Design and implement streamlined operational processes to support eBay’s livestream commerce initiatives.
- Translate seller insights into actionable training materials and support resources to empower sellers using the platform.
- Strengthen operational trust and safety on live streams by developing clear guidelines and processes in collaboration with PMO, Legal, Analytics, Product, and Operations teams.
- Monitor livestream activity for potential abuse, fraud, or violations; investigate reported incidents and enforce appropriate actions following approved procedures.
What you will bring:
- Strong experience in tech operations, preferably at a commerce marketplace or in live selling formats
- Prior experience in creating and implementing operations processes with high customer empathy
- Strong communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong ability to multi task and a bias for action
- At least 3+ years of experience
- German speaking is not a requirement
- Travel required on occasion
