Job Description: LiveOps Executive
Role Overview
The LiveOps Executive is responsible for driving ongoing player engagement through live operations, community management, and personalized communication. The role combines event planning, campaign execution, and player insights to optimize retention, monetize engagement, scale communities, and channel player feedback into product and growth strategies to strengthen player-brand relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft seasonal offers and plan liveops events for Crossword players based on the yearly event calendar.
- Build and manage localized communities on platforms such as Discord, WhatsApp, Reddit, Facebook Groups.
- Set up and manage the liveops cadence, ensuring timely in-game and out-of-game communications.
- Design and execute in-app communications, push notifications, and campaigns tailored to player segments.
- Monitor engagement metrics, sentiment, and overall community health to identify growth and retention opportunities.
- Organize player interviews, capture insights, and feed them into product, growth, and go-to-market strategies.
- Monitor app store reviews and deliver structured player sentiment reports to internal teams.
- Track, resolve, and escalate player issues through the support system while ensuring players feel valued and heard.
- Drive commercial focus by optimizing ARPDAU, conversion rates, and monetization from events/offers.
- Apply data-driven decision making by actively using KPIs to guide and improve execution.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration for the liveops initiatives with Product, Design, Engineering, Art, and Analytics teams.
- Apply segmentation to tailor offers and communications to the right players at the right time, through the right channels.
- Oversee player lifecycle management across onboarding, engagement, conversion, reactivation, and churn prevention.
- Run A/B tests and use insights to continuously improve campaigns and liveops strategies.
- Hire, mentor, and build a team of LiveOps Executives to scale live operations and ensure consistency across games.
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience driving player engagement in gaming businesses.
- Proven experience in liveops, community management, or social media operations.
- Strong skills in planning and executing live events, localized campaigns, and push notification strategies.
- Ability to identify, track, and act on KPIs related to retention, monetization, sentiment, and community health.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using AI tools to analyze performance and improve campaign outcomes.
- Familiarity with modern communication platforms and ability to design engaging, market-specific player experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and channel player insights into product and growth strategies
