Job Description

The Machine Learning Engineer will build and maintain machine learning and statistical models using alternative data sources and transactional data. They will evaluate model performance, ensure data compliance with Experian standards, and diagnose and resolve issues related to low precision and miscategorization. The engineer will document the modeling process, test, and code. They will also communicate incidents and improvements related to development, infrastructure, and annotation teams.

Must have:

2 years of experience in Python and its analytical packages.
Knowledge of analytical tools and programming languages like R and SQL.
Knowledge of data visualization techniques and BI tools.
Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts.
Intermediate knowledge of statistics and machine learning.
Understanding of data science concepts like overfitting and cross-validation.
Experience in workflows with version control and CI/CD.
Experience in developing data science projects under incremental and iterative approaches.

Construir y mantener modelos (propensión, pérdida, etc.) de aprendizaje automático y estadísticos utilizando fuentes alternas (data alternativa), data transaccional y datos de Buró.
Evaluar periódicamente el desempeño de los modelos entrenados
Garantizar que los datos de entrenamiento utilizados cumplan con los estándares de Experian, levantar alertas y proponer posibles pasos de prevención y mitigación en caso de que esos estándares no se cumplan.
Diagnóstico y resolución (propuesta e implementación) de problemas de baja precisión y categorización errónea, e implementación de medidas de mejora continua relacionadas.
Documentar el proceso de modelado, prueba, codificación y la documentación necesaria para el soporte del modelo.
Comunicación de incidentes y mejoras relacionados con equipos de desarrollo, infraestructura y anotación.

Experiencia profesional

Profesional egresado de Ingeniería Industrial, Economía, Estadística, Matemáticas, Ingeniería de Sistemas, Administración de Empresas o afines.

Experiencia Profesional

2 años de experiencia en Python, tanto la sintaxis propia de Python como también sus principales paquetes analíticos (Pandas, Numpy, MatplotLib)
Conocimiento de herramientas analíticas y lenguajes de programación R, SQL (DQL, CTEs, agregaciones y funciones de ventana)
Conocimiento de técnicas de visualización de datos y herramientas de BI como Power BI, o Amazon Quicksight.
Conocimiento de conceptos y técnicas de procesamiento de lenguaje natural (NLP)
Conocimientos intermedios de estadística y aprendizaje automático, y de sus métricas de desempeño, como precisión, recuperación, etc.
Comprensión de conceptos de ciencia de datos, como sobreajuste, validación cruzada, división de datos de entrenamiento versus prueba, fuga de datos, etc.
Experiencia en flujos de trabajo con control de versiones y CI/CD.
Experiencia en desarrollo de proyectos de ciencia de datos bajo enfoques incrementales e iterativos.

Inglés intermedio-avanzado conversacional y de lectura técnica, mínimo B2.
