We are seeking a seasoned Machine Learning Technical Manager with expertise in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, or Generative AI to lead the development of next-generation AI solutions for Autodesk Flow Studio. This role involves leading a team of machine learning engineers and researchers, ensuring the creation of scalable, efficient, and innovative ML models. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate AI-driven solutions, optimize workflows, and shape the future of AI in VFX.
Must have:
  • Lead the development and deployment of machine learning models, with emphasis on computer vision, graphics, or generative AI.
  • Manage and mentor a team of ML engineers and researchers.
  • Define and execute the ML strategy, identifying opportunities where AI can enhance product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and creative teams to integrate AI solutions into production workflows.
  • Provide technical oversight on model architecture, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Stay current with advancements in ML, CV, CG, and generative models, and apply them to real-world challenges.
  • Ensure responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Partner with infrastructure teams to build scalable, efficient ML pipelines and deployment systems.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Machine Learning Technical Manager with expertise in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, or Generative AI to lead the development of next-generation AI solutions for Autodesk Flow Studio (formerly Wonder Studio), our state-of-the-art AI-powered VFX platform.

This role is critical in leading a team of machine learning engineers and researchers, ensuring the creation of scalable, efficient, and innovative ML models that enhance our platform’s capabilities. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate AI-driven solutions, optimize workflows, and shape the future of AI in VFX. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of machine learning models, with emphasis on computer vision, graphics, or generative AI.
  • Manage and mentor a team of ML engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Define and execute the ML strategy, identifying opportunities where AI can enhance product capabilities and user experience.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and creative teams to integrate AI solutions into production workflows and tools.
  • Provide technical oversight on model architecture, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Stay current with advancements in ML, CV, CG, and generative models, and apply them to real-world challenges in VFX and animation.
  • Ensure responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Partner with infrastructure teams to build scalable, efficient ML pipelines and deployment systems.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in machine learning, with strong expertise in computer vision, computational graphics, or generative AI.
  • Track record of delivering ML models into production environments, ideally in media, entertainment, or creative tech.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Familiarity with 3D graphics, rendering pipelines, or real-time engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Blender, Maya) is a plus.
  • Experience leading technical teams and collaborating across disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to ethical AI development and continuous learning.
