Our client, a leading Asian bank, is seeking a Mainframe Software Developer for their newly established technology center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining Mainframe-based card processing applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, and VSAM. The developer will integrate Mainframe applications with APIs and MQ for digital channels, manage batch jobs, conduct testing, and provide L2 support, ensuring compliance with coding and security standards.

Must Have:

Develop, enhance, and maintain Mainframe-based card processing applications (Cardlink/VisionPlus).
Design and code using COBOL, CICS, JCL, and VSAM databases.
Integrate Mainframe applications with APIs and MQ for digital channel interfaces.
Work on CICS transactions with advanced expertise in performance tuning and debugging.
Understand and work with JSON and HTML data structures for API communication.
Create and manage batch jobs using Control-M scheduling tool.
Conduct unit testing, debugging, and ensure defect-free code migration through environments.
Collaborate with system analysts, testers, and other developers for smooth delivery.
Perform root cause analysis for production issues and provide L2-level support.
Ensure compliance with organizational coding and security standards.
3-5 years of experience in Mainframe Technologies: COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM.
Platform/Product: Mainframe, Cardlink / VisionPlus.
Operating System: z/OS.
Advanced CICS expertise (design, debugging, and performance optimization).
Experience in API and MQ integration with mainframe systems.
Knowledge of Control-M (job scheduling and monitoring).
Ability to understand JSON and HTML for API-related interfaces.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production issue resolution skills.
Integrity and accountability in work execution.
