Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic 1 will be responsible for executing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. This includes performing inspections, adjustments, assembly, disassembly, and replacement of parts, as well as scheduled lubrications. The role involves operating auxiliary equipment, conducting mechanical tests, and meticulously recording all maintenance activities in computerized systems. The mechanic will support maintenance planning, ensure equipment conservation, and assist in technical logistics. Collaboration in identifying mechanical failures, suggesting corrective actions, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives and technical training are also key aspects of this role.

Job Details

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on mechanical systems and components, according to maintenance plans and technical guidelines.
  • Conduct inspections and adjustments on mechanical assemblies, such as transmission systems, rotating elements, reducers, valves, and bearings.
  • Carry out assembly, disassembly, and replacement of parts and sub-assemblies, using hand tools and measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, among others).
  • Execute maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including component replacement, adjustment, and functional inspection.
  • Perform scheduled lubrications and re-tightening of components, applying technical inputs according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Operate auxiliary equipment and perform mechanical tests after interventions, evaluating noises, vibrations, alignment, and general operation.
  • Record all maintenance activities in computerized management systems, detailing failures, materials applied, and execution time.
  • Support the planning and execution of maintenance routines according to the schedule, respecting established procedures and deadlines.
  • Ensure the conservation of equipment and tools used.
  • Assist in the technical logistics of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance.
  • Perform minor interventions on equipment supports and structures, according to the scope of the function.
  • Support maneuvers and mechanical operation activities, according to technical guidelines and established procedures.
  • Collaborate in identifying mechanical failures and suggest corrective actions focused on operational stability and reliability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizens), contributing technically to the search for greater efficiency of mechanical assets.
  • Participate in technical training and apply acquired knowledge in practical maintenance routines.
