Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will assist the Facility Supervisor and maintenance team in maintaining buildings at the Crewe site. Responsibilities include logging and reporting maintenance issues, managing contractors, performing PPM tasks, conducting fire alarm tests, basic plumbing, ordering materials, issuing permits, and managing waste collections. The ideal candidate should be multi-skilled and preferably have facility maintenance experience. The job involves flexible work across Likewize locations and responding to reactive maintenance calls, acting as the main point of contact for vendors, and completing inductions with contractors.
Must have:
  • Knowledge of COSHH.
  • CSCS cardholder.
  • Clean UK driving license.
Good to have:
  • Trade qualification and background.
  • Experience with CAFM or CMMS system.
  • Qualified Electrician – 18th Edition.
  • IOSH – Certification holder.
  • SMST – Certification holder.
  • IPAF – Certification holder.

Maintenance Technician
Crewe, Cheshire - onsite

Salary: £36,750per annum + Benefits

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in Crewe. If you’re practical, safety-conscious, and take pride in a well-maintained site, we want to hear from you.

Position Summary

The role will be to assist the Facility Supervisor and maintenance Team with the upkeep of buildings at our site(s) in Crewe. The successful candidate must be multi-skilled and preferably have Facility maintenance experience.

Some of the duties will include working flexibly across our Likewize locations and responding to reactive maintenance calls, being the main point of contact for vendors, and completing inductions with contractors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Log and report building maintenance issues

  • Liaise and manage contractors on the completion of work

  • Undertake PPM tasks, i.e. minor joinery works

  • Conduct weekly fire alarm tests at each site

  • Carry out basic plumbing if required

  • Order materials and move them between sites as required

  • Issue permits to work – based on experience and risk

  • Order and off-hire of skips and waste collections

  • Keep compliance paperwork up to date

  • Respect the value of information by following Likewize's data protection/information security policies and procedures

Requirements

The suitable candidate will have knowledge of COSHH, be a CSCS cardholder, and have a clean UK driving license. Experience of working within a warehouse environment would be advantageous.

You will also ideally have:

  • Trade qualification and background

  • Experience with CAFM or CMMS system (desirable)
