Our public consultants operate in the field of organizational change, information provision, process optimization and efficiency in business operations. We carry out our assignments within the entire public sector and have a special focus on the chains of the social domain (WMO, Youth Care and Participation).

Job Description

For our Public Consulting pillar, we are looking for an Operations Manager Public Sector. You will then carry out complex and challenging assignments in this role for our clients within the government. Under the responsibility of the Operations team manager, the integral management and operations of the team rest. This often includes the main tasks such as Communication, Finance, Legal and Personnel & Organization and Facility matters.

You make a significant contribution to strengthening the connection between people and departments within the organization and seek more collaboration opportunities outside the organization. In addition, you play an important role in managing and coaching your team. You identify relevant internal and external developments and translate these into strategic policy initiatives. You are ultimately responsible for the objectives and results of operations in terms of vision, production, resources and quality. You also promote cooperation with other organizational units within your assignment.

As a member of the management team, you are jointly responsible for the entire organization. You report to the general director/municipal secretary and are the first point of contact for the involved portfolio holders.

Qualifications

• You have an HBO and preferably a WO diploma.
• You have between 5 and 10 years of experience in a similar role within the (local or semi) government.
• You approach changes with a clear vision and open mind; you work and think integrally and your approach is result-oriented and people-oriented.
• You have experience with leadership as Operations Manager.
• You can easily switch between all levels within and outside the organization and are politically-administratively sensitive.
• You are accessible, communicatively skilled and connecting - even where conflicting interests are concerned - and you can coach and manage understandably.
• You have experience with programmatic and project-based work.
• You are initiative-rich and you possess organizational and administrative sensitivity.
• Of course, you are very proficient in Dutch, both written and orally.
