Summary Of Position

This role is responsible for developing and executing top-tier social media strategies tailored to the gaming community. It involves content creation, community engagement, and performance analysis across platforms like Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube, aiming to drive brand awareness, user engagement, and organic growth. The individual will work closely with external agencies and internal teams to align social media efforts with broader marketing goals. They will review performance across all social channels and KPIs, continuously optimizing social media plans.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in social media strategy within the gaming industry, hands-on experience in creating engaging content, and managing social media accounts. Proficiency in analyzing social media performance and making data-driven decisions is essential. This creative thinker must have excellent communication and collaboration skills and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and lives and breathes social media trends.

We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the management of social media agencies. Coordinate with agencies to align social media plans and campaigns with internal marketing objectives, while providing guidance and feedback to optimize performance and ensuring highest standards of content deliver.
  • Analyze and report on social media performance regularly, offering insights and optimization recommendations specific to the gaming audience. Reporting on social media feedback, online comments.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies tailored to the gaming community across social platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and management of special events.
  • Curate and manage diverse content (graphics, videos, copy) aligned with marketing strategy and brand voice within the gaming niche.
  • You will be responsible for managing one IC Social Media Manager to start, supporting and growing their capabilities through feedback and guidance as well as leading and maintaining the social content roadmap calendar.
  • Curating social media marketing plans for game launches, and updates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with gaming influencers and brand ambassadors while maintaining current trends and enhancing best practices within social media strategy and implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Brand, Paid Media, Partnership, Influencer, Community, and Product teams to ensure social media efforts support overall marketing and business objectives while keeping up to date on relevant trends, and best practices.
  • Conduct social media account audits, provide research, analysis, and improvement recommendations around the target audience, and implement necessary content changes

Work Experience

  • 3-5+ years in a social media strategy role or similar
  • 1+ years of management experience
  • Previous experience in the gaming industry is highly preferred

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Knowledge/Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and gaming trends.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics tools.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to craft engaging content tailored to the gaming community.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Strong PowerPoint creation and presentation skills
  • Experience in managing social media and creative agencies
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Must be a gamer with a strong passion for the games industry
  • Hands on experience with social media operations and content posting

Compensation Description For Pay Transparency (annually)

The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $105,000 - $130,000 annually.

Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual’s pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
