Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer contributes factory input during project sign-off and closure, focusing on quality, efficiency, and adherence to manufacturing standards. This role involves providing input for manufacturing requirements within the PDLM system, implementing enhancements in processes, tools, and equipment, and monitoring their performance. The engineer will apply analytical skills to resolve medium complexity requests, utilize lean manufacturing principles for process streamlining, and implement Capex optimization initiatives. Additionally, the role includes procuring and installing recurring equipment, ensuring seamless integration and quality adherence.

Must Have:
  • Provides input for manufacturing requirements within the PDLM system, aligns with production needs and facilitates smooth transitions from product design to production stages, thereby enhancing efficiency and quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Implements enhancements in manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment to drive quality and efficiency improvements, and monitors the performance of processes, tools, and equipment following project handover, ensuring seamless continuity and addressing any operational challenges that arise.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures/practices to determine appropriate action, applying analytical skills to resolve medium complexity requests efficiently, applies lean manufacturing principles, employing methodologies to streamline production processes, minimize waste, optimize resource utilization, and enhance overall efficiency within the manufacturing environment.
  • Implements Capex optimization initiatives for recurring investments in manufacturing processes, aiming to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Procures and installs recurring equipment at the site, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing processes and adherence to quality standards.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 4+ years of experience with Vocational Education in areas such as Manufacturing/Operations environment, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Production Engineering, or Cost Engineering or equivalent; no previous experience is required with a Bachelor’s degree. Lean Six Sigma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Your skills include manufacturing principles, environmental health and safety, quality monitoring, equipment installations, product lifecycle management, process improvements, lean manufacturing, business acumen, cost optimization, Six Sigma, design for manufacturability, regulatory compliance and CAPA methodologies
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree / Vocational Education in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Cost Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Process Optimization or equivalent.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
