Job Description

Join Aptiv to work on cutting-edge applications, develop breakthrough technologies, and deliver innovative solutions in automotive. This role is within the Process/Industrial Engineering team, focusing on integrating Lean Principles into new product launches and continuous improvement. You will support 'Product Line' products, define manufacturing standards, manage compliance, provide training, and optimize material flow and floorspace across AS&UX plants globally, contributing to a more competitive Aptiv Manufacturing System.
Must Have:
  • Support "Product Line" products and manage series production.
  • Provide engineering support and training during MQ2.
  • Define manufacturing standards (Workplace Organization, material delivery, Kanban, Visual system, Buffer planning).
  • Establish Industrial Engineering KPIs (routing, line balancing, equipment utilization, changeover).
  • Implement and manage manufacturing standards across AS&UX plants.
  • Provide onsite/virtual training to Engineers, Maintenance, Operations.
  • Optimize material flow, inventory, internal package calculation, and floorspace.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • Deep skills in TPS, Lean concepts, flow manufacturing, material movement.
  • Ability to summarize standards and conduct training.
  • Enjoys Gemba observation and kaizen activities.
  • Good influence skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel for workshops or equipment validation.

We would be proud of the improvement that our knowledge and intelligence bring.\n\nAs an Manufacturing Engineering - Process Engineer on our team, you’ll:\n\n* Support “Product Line” products from PV and assume full responsibility for series production.\n* Provide engineering resource to support & to be trained during MQ2.\n* Support Manufacturing Engineering’s KPI by defining manufacturing standards, including (but not limited to) Workplace Organization, Plant internal material delivery routes, Kanban design, Visual system, Buffer planning, and management.\n* Establish Manufacturing Engineering KPIs regarding Industrial Engineering, e.g. routing, Line balancing Rate, Equipment Utilization, and changeover standards.\n* Drive implementation of the defined manufacturing standards across all AS&UX plants.\n* Manage the standards compliance from plants.\n* Provide onsite or virtual training to Manufacturing Engineers, Maintenance, and Operations regarding equipment functionality.\n* Optimization of material flow / material routes, inventory definition between processes, and internal package calculation.
