Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I performs low –complexity preventative maintenance and repairs for manual to semi-automated equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual works closely with a team of Manufacturing Maintenance Technicians and will escalate more complex issues to senior team members.
Shift Schedule: Thursday thru Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6:00pm to 6:00am
Primary Duties:
1. Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics’ Quality System.
2. Performs other duties as assigned.
3. Perform low-complexity repairs involving manual to semi-automated manufacturing and/or packaging equipment. Perform basic routine preventative and scheduled maintenance on manual to semi-automated production equipment, which may include the replacement of failed/broken components (i.e. bearing, belts, motors, etc.), cleaning and lubricating parts, etc.
4. Provide emergency support to repair production equipment in order to keep production lines operational at all times.
5. Dismantle defective and/or outdated equipment.
6. Build and install new/repaired parts or equipment according to blueprints, specifications, WIDs, and SOPs.
7. Performs some simple automation tasks as they relate to hardware.
8. Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics Quality System.

Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
