As part of a 12-18 month Manufacturing & Quality Development Program, you will learn from industry experts, preparing for a successful career in manufacturing and quality. This project engineer role offers challenging opportunities, structured learning, and on-the-job activities. The program is based in Perrysburg, Ohio, requiring relocation to one of the company's U.S. manufacturing facilities upon completion. You will perform quality tests, apply problem-solving skills, evaluate designs, investigate issues, and learn plant processes, with up to 50% travel.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering, Operations, or Manufacturing Technology discipline.
  • Willingness to relocate upon completion of training.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

Job Description

As a part of our Development Program, you will have the opportunity to learn from the best in the glass business. Our 12-18 month program will prepare you for a successful and long-lasting career within our in manufacturing and quality areas. You will be offered challenging and diverse opportunities while being supported through a structured learning and development program as you work as a project engineer. You will have access to a variety of on the job learning activities, networking and social activities.

The Development Program is based in Ohio. Upon completion of this development program, you will be required to relocate and officially start you career journey at one of our manufacturing facilities located throughout the United States.

During the development program, you will:

  • Perform a variety of tests, analyses, and studies related to the improvement of glass container quality.
  • Apply your problem solving skills and knowledge of various statistical tools and methods to design studies, and conduct quality and complaint analyses.
  • Participate in the evaluation and testing of new container designs.
  • Work with manufacturing plants and customers to investigate glass container quality and/or manufacturing issues.
  • Conduct measurements and write reports to summarize and communicate quality analyses.
  • Learn various facets of the plant process including: batch and furnace operations, forming machines, equipment, inspection, packaging, and quality assurance systems.
  • Travel up to 50% of the program throughout North America. We cover travel costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering, Operations, or Manufacturing Technology discipline. Desired degrees include: Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, Ceramic and Glass, Maintenance and Industrial Technology, Operations Management and Material Science
  • Willingness to relocate – relocation is required upon completion of training (financial assistance provided by us)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis

Additional Information

Salary: The salary for this role is $70,000 annually.
