Job Description

This marketing internship at a game development studio focuses on supporting outreach and research for their narrative-driven Grand Strategy game, Becoming Pablo. The intern will work directly with the Marketing team lead, assisting in lead generation, communications, and general marketing support. Responsibilities include researching outreach targets, drafting emails, managing trackers, and helping with events and partnerships. The internship duration is three to six months, offering real-world experience in game marketing.

We’re a game development studio working on Becoming Pablo – a bold, narrative-driven Grand Strategy game. We're building unforgettable experiences and a vibrant community around our game. We're currently expanding our marketing efforts and looking for someone to support us in our outreach and research efforts. The duration of the internship will range from three to six months.

You’ll work directly under our Marketing team lead and help bridge the gap between our team and the outside world.

Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, with solid research skills
  • Self-organized and able to work independently
  • Comfortable using tools like Google Sheets, Notion, Gmail
  • Genuinely interested in gaming or game marketing
  • Bonus: Experience with Canva, LinkedIn search, or influencer platforms

Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Research:

  • Research and maintain organized lists of potential outreach targets, such as:
  • Colleges and schools (for events/collabs)
  • Gaming cafés and lounges (for promotions/showcases)
  • Influencers, content creators, streamers
  • Journalists, publications, and PR agencies
  • Discords, communities, and niche groups

Outreach & Communications:

  • Draft and send first contact emails, DMs, or contact forms
  • Follow up on outreach campaigns and track responses
  • Work with existing templates or create your own with guidance
  • Manage and update outreach trackers (CRM, spreadsheets, Notion, etc.)

Marketing Support:

  • Assist in managing giveaways, community events, and partnerships
  • Help plan logistics and follow-ups for college or gaming events
  • Monitor social platforms for opportunities, trends, and event listings
