Job Description

The Material Planner, reporting to the Planning Manager, will be responsible for managing the sourcing of materials to execute the production plan. This includes ensuring that raw materials, components, and resources are available and delivered on time to support production and maintain inventory levels. The role involves evaluating and forecasting material requirements using SAP, coordinating with production and purchasing teams, and developing supplier relationships. The planner will also resolve supply chain issues, implement inventory management strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for product development and production planning.
Must have:
  • Evaluate and forecast material requirements using the SAP system, share the purchasing plan with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with production and purchasing teams to ensure adequate material supply.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
  • Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and timeliness of delivery.
  • Resolve supply chain issues, including delays, inventory discrepancies, or supplier problems.
  • Implement purchasing and inventory management strategies to optimize sourcing by reducing inventory levels.
  • Maintain a stable flow of material input to not exceed warehouse capacity.
  • Conduct regular reviews of material demand and supply patterns to identify trends and make necessary adjustments.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams for product development and production planning.
  • Professional university degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or related fields; or ADVANCED STUDENT to graduate in December 2025 or June 2026.
  • Around 1 year of experience in similar roles, preferably within the same industry and/or similar. Experience in production planning, purchasing, logistics, foreign trade or related fields will be valued.
  • Previous experience in ERP/MRP planning systems like SAP.
  • Advanced English level (B2/C1/C2) for oral communication with suppliers.
  • Intermediate Excel level for database management, advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
  • Availability to work onsite in San Fernando, Buenos Aires, Argentina, full-time from Monday to Friday (flexible schedule).
Good to have:
  • Experience in PowerBI, data analytics/data modeling.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

  • Education: GRADUATE university professional preferably oriented to Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or related fields; or ADVANCED STUDENT to graduate in December 2025 or June 2026.
