You’ll collaborate closely Guadalajara team and USA support. Their primary goal is to ensure top-tier locomotive maintenance for our most valued clients. As Materials Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting these teams by streamlining materials flow, optimizing inventory, and ensuring timely availability of parts.
How Will You Make a Difference?
As the Materials Manager, you’ll oversee defined initiatives and moderately complex projects related to the supply chain and materials logistics. You’ll tackle problems by taking immediate action or implementing short-term planning strategies, ensuring that materials and components are where they need to be—exactly when they’re needed.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- At least 5 years of experience in materials management, warehouse-fulfillment operations, or logistics role.
- Knowledge and understanding of international trade regulations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills (English & Spanish).
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with domestic and international suppliers.

Desired Characteristics
- Six Sigma training is preferred

- Strong knowledge of international trade and global commerce practices is a plus.
What will your typical day look like?
- Deploy and follow all the EHS, Security and other requirements
- Accountable for all aspects of warehousing and materials management, including order fulfillment, transactional accuracy, inventory control, productivity, and freight forwarding.
- Drive timely procurement of LR, RR, U, and FGI materials from internal and external vendors to support critical operations and meet production timelines.
- Responsible for inventory, operational targets including the month end and quarter close processes for inventory.
- Expertise in supply chain management, enabling the development of annual transportation and property tax budgets with consistent alignment to operational and financial targets.
- Ensure that all material flows comply with applicable international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers as needed during escalations to ensure timely resolution, continuity of supply, and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify opportunities for process enhancement, and to design and implement forward-thinking management systems.
- Maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy in material handling, with a strategic emphasis on optimal space utilization throughout all storage and movement phases.
- Collaborate with the team to streamline operations by eliminating non-value-added processes and aligning outcomes with customer expectations.
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with internal customers and outside suppliers
