Job Description
We’re looking for a Product Strategist who lives at the intersection of market insight, product thinking, and portfolio performance. You will own the research and strategic framing that decides which games/apps we build next, how we position them, and where we double down or pivot in our portfolio.
If you enjoy turning messy signals (market trends, user data, cultural nuances) into clear product bets and roadmaps, this is your playground. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, UA/Marketing, Data, and external studio partners.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Market Research & New Product Opportunities:
- Lead quantitative and qualitative market research to identify high-potential product opportunities in mobile games/apps.
- Map market size, trends, and competitive landscape to prioritise concepts worth investing in.
- Build clear, structured opportunity briefs (insights, rationale, risks, expected upside) used to pitch and co-develop products with external partners/studios.
- Product “4 Fits” Research & Strategic Framing: Drive deep-dive research on Product 4 Fits (e.g. Market fit, User fit, Product/Experience fit, Monetization/Channel fit) for existing and new titles. Turn findings into strategic product recommendations: what to build, what to kill, what to pivot, and where to focus next.
- Portfolio Performance & Optimization: Analyze product performance at portfolio level: funnel metrics, retention, engagement, monetization, store performance, UA efficiency. Identify gaps & prioritize key experiments for improvement.
- Culturalization & Localization Strategy: Lead deep culturalization research for top geos (e.g., US, KR, JP, EU, SEA or your focus markets). Translate cultural insights into in-game experience, not just translation: themes, events, live-ops, art, UX flows, pricing sensitivities, store messaging.
- Working experiences:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product R&D with proven experience in mobile games/apps:
- Worked on free-to-play mobile games or high-scale consumer apps.Direct exposure to product performance metrics (retention, engagement, monetization, UA metrics).
- Strong market research skill set: experience running both quantitative (surveys, data analysis, market sizing, dashboards) and qualitative work (interviews, user calls, concept tests, playtests).
- Solid analytical & logical thinking: comfortable working with product/UA data, funnels, cohorts; able to cut through noise and form a sharp point of view.
- Strategic thinking: can structure problems, define hypotheses, and turn insights into clear strategic choices and roadmap directions.
