Job Description
N-iX is seeking a Power BI Engineer to join its data team. This role involves developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs, and designing and building Power BI reports and dashboards. The engineer will turn data into actionable insights, ensure quality data integration, and support the ongoing improvement of reporting processes, working closely with engineers and analysts.
Good To Have:
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Azure Data Factory, or Databricks.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
- Familiarity with A/B testing or experimentation.
- BI certification (e.g., Microsoft PL-300/DA-100).
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Must Have:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI data models and visualizations using DAX.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data sourcing and preparation.
- Support data integration from various sources (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Conduct analytical investigations to provide insights into business performance.
- Ensure BI solutions are reliable, accurate, and meet user needs; maintain documentation.
- Assist with troubleshooting and performance tuning of Power BI datasets and reports.
- Contribute to the improvement of BI processes, data quality, and reporting standards.
- Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical team members.
- 3-4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Solid experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and using DAX for data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL (e.g., T-SQL, PostgreSQL).
- Exposure to data warehouse/lakehouse platforms.
- Good understanding of basic data modeling and ETL/ELT concepts.
- Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher).
