We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of real-time datastores and streaming platforms. You will play a key role in transitioning our data infrastructure from batch to real-time processing, ensuring high performance, scalability, and availability for critical applications. As part of this new domain within TPDS, you will drive innovative solutions to support real-time data needs across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Development:

  • Lead the design and implementation of real-time data storage and streaming solutions.
  • Architect scalable, fault-tolerant systems using platforms like Kafka, Flink, and Pulsar.
  • Transition batch processing pipelines to real-time data pipelines, ensuring minimal latency and high throughput.

• Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize datastore performance for real-time ingestion, query efficiency, and resource management.
  • Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and load testing to ensure systems can handle large-scale data streams.

• Technical Leadership:

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in distributed systems and streaming technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate real-time data storage solutions into existing infrastructure.

• Reliability & Monitoring:

  • Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and monitoring strategies for real-time data systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and system reliability in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 7+ years in software engineering with expertise in distributed systems and real-time data processing.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of streaming platforms (Kafka, Flink, Pulsar) and distributed data stores
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in real-time data architectures, CQRS, and event-driven systems.
• Experience in transitioning systems from batch to real-time processing.
• Knowledge of in-memory datastores (Redis, Memcached) and time-series databases.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$96900 to $234300
