Job Description

As part of the US Product Specialist team, the National Product Specialist Data & IT manages and helps facilitate and implement bioMérieux’s Vision Suite of products within a defined region. This role involves collaborative work in a dynamic cross-selling environment with various internal and external stakeholders, including local Account Managers, IT, Clinical Pharmacy, Quality, and Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs. The specialist is accountable for achieving individual revenue and contract goals, contributing to sustainable profit growth through a Software as a Service business model.
Must have:
  • Consultative interface with multiple customer touch points (Laboratory, IT, Clinical Pharmacy, Quality, Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs)
  • Attain individual revenue and contract goals
  • Contribute to sustainable profitable growth through a Software as a Service business model
  • Own the bioMérieux Vision Suite sales opportunity pipeline within a designated region
  • Coordinate customer implementation and expanded utilization of Data Solutions Suite
  • Improve customer centricity and competency around Rapid Diagnostics in a healthcare provider setting
  • Collaboration with US Sales and Marketing organizations in the promotion of our software portfolio
  • Deliver effective Sales Call Management, Opportunity Management, Pipeline Management and Forecast Accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience
  • Functional knowledge of IT systems and connectivity within the healthcare market segment (LIS, EMR, CDS systems)
  • Working knowledge of Software as a Service business model in a clinical setting
  • Working knowledge of acute care, clinical and laboratory environment
  • Presentation and advanced communication skills in a B2C and B2B environment
  • Functional Computer, CRM, Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic IT knowledge (related to Data Management, Networking, HIPAA and Cyber Security)
  • Ability to maintain a structured and detailed sales opportunity funnel
  • Ability to accurately forecast and project Capital and Reagent sales in a large territory
  • Ability to become a subject matter expert on complex diagnostic software products
  • Ability to demo complex diagnostic software products
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment without authority

Description

As part of the US Product Specialist team, the National Product Specialist Data & IT manages and helps facilitate and implement bioMérieux’s Vision Suite of products within a defined region. The National Product Specialist Data & IT works collaboratively in a dynamic cross-selling environment involving local Account Managers, Regional Business Directors, Corporate Account Managers and key stakeholders with the Customer Support Organization (CSO). This role requires a consultative interface with multiple customer touch points within Hospitals, Reference Labs, and the Veterinary setting including but not limited to: Laboratory, IT, Clinical Pharmacy, Quality, and Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs. This role is accountable to attain individual revenue and contract goals while effectively contributing to the acceleration of sustainable profit growth as an outcome of the Software as a Service business model.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Consultative interface with multiple customer touch points within the Hospital, Reference Lab, and Veterinary setting including: Laboratory, IT, Clinical Pharmacy, Quality, and Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs.

2. Responsible for attaining individual revenue and contract goals.

3. Effectively contribute to the acceleration of sustainable profitable growth through the execution of a Software as a Service business model.

4. Own the bioMérieux Vision Suite sales opportunity pipeline within a designated region and work collaboratively with local Account Managers to build, execute and close Opportunities within the sales funnel.

5. Coordinate customer implementation and expanded utilization of Data Solutions Suite, and provide relevant updates on clients within the defined Region.

6. Improve customer centricity and competency around our commercial capabilities of Rapid Diagnostics in a healthcare provider setting.

7. Collaboration with the US Sales and Marketing organizations in the promotion of our software portfolio.

8. Deliver effective Sales Call Management, Opportunity Management, Pipeline Management and Forecast Accuracy.

9. Perform other duties as assigned.

10. Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMerieux Quality System.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Experience

1. Minimum 3 years professional experience, with increasing scope of responsibility

2. Work experience within a healthcare provider preferred (Laboratory, Pharmacy).

3. Functional knowledge of IT systems and connectivity within the healthcare market segment (ie. LIS, EMR, CDS systems).

4. Working knowledge of Software as a Service business model in a clinical setting.

5. Working knowledge of acute care, clinical and laboratory environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

1. Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.

2. Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.

3. Domestic travel required 70% of time.

4. Location dependent the selected incumbent will be required to be masked while working in client locations for extended periods when on site in hospitals.

5. Ability to conduct client visits which entails the safe operation of motor vehicles, physically accessing customer facilities and frequent air travel in performance of assigned duties.
