Job Description

Brillio is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join their Infrastructure Engineering team in Romania. This role involves day-to-day engineering of production LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments. The engineer will work with network and Service Delivery Program Teams, focusing on developing highly available and resilient network solutions, supporting office moves, and assisting with root cause analysis. Key technologies include Aruba, routing protocols, SD-WAN, 802.11, Fortinet, Zscaler, and Cisco. The position requires strong technical knowledge and ownership in multinational environments.
Must Have:
  • Develop highly available and resilient network solutions.
  • Design and optimize wireless networks, including signal and coverage.
  • Support office moves and assist with root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in Aruba Wireless design, management, and standardization.
  • Proficiency in predictive wireless surveys (Airwave VisualRF, Ekahau, AirMagnet).
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot high-density wireless enterprise networks.
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols and tiered network design.
  • Experience with SD WAN (Velo Cloud) and associated transport technologies.
  • Deep understanding of 802.11 protocols, RF propagation, and antenna technologies.
  • Skilled in RF optimization, interference, and coexistence analysis.
  • Support and troubleshoot voice applications over wireless, including Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Analyze business/technical requirements and implement project designs.

Looking for a Network Operations Engineer fully remote, anywhere in Romania, to join the team responsible for day-to-day engineering of the production LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments. This role will work closely with members of network and Service Delivery Program Teams. Candidates require extensive experience in multinational environments and with technologies used to deliver LAN, WAN, and wireless services including Aruba, routing protocols, SD-WAN, 802.11, Fortinet, Zscaler and Cisco. This is a Global technical position requiring both strong technical knowledge in conjunction with demonstration of ownership.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in developing network solutions with high availability and resiliency
  • Experience with Wireless Technologies, Signal optimization, Wireless coverage design
  • Understanding of network design for optimal performance and availability
  • Support Office Moves and renewals according to defined standard designs
  • Assisting the Operations teams with root cause analysis and other troubleshooting activities
  • Aligning with Vendors around service lifecycles and roadmaps
  • Vendor management for production hardware lifecycle
  • Managed Service Provider technical resource and capabilities evaluation
  • Availability tracking and technical elimination of repeat incidents

Requirements:

  • Proven Technical capability in the field of Aruba Wireless design, management and standardization
  • Experience of working as part of a Global function
  • Experience with creating predictive surveys using planning software such as Airwave VisualRF (preferred) , Ekahau or AirMagnet
  • Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting high density wireless enterprise office networks
  • Strong knowledge with routing protocols and building tiered network design
  • Experience with SD WAN (Velo Cloud) and associated transport technologies
  • Deep working knowledge of 802.11 protocols, RF propagation, and antenna technologies using multipath, spatial multiplexing, and diversity. Confidential (C3)
  • Experienced in RF optimization as well as interference and coexistence analysis, and ability to apply this to resolve issues in poor RF environments
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting voice applications over wireless; such as Microsoft Team
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Capable of analysing business and technical requirements and design/Implement project based on defined processes
  • Demonstrated strong personal mastery, including ethics, interpersonal skills, and engagement in continuous learning
  • Agile and DevOps mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
