(NEW GRAD ONLY) Engineer, Reliability Engineering

Western Digital is seeking a New Grad Reliability Engineer to join their team. This role involves cross-functional coordination, performance reporting to management, and managing reliability test suites to align with product design and customer expectations. The engineer will develop new test methods, collaborate with product designers, promote data analytics for reliability predictions, and ensure compliance with ISO standards, including ESD and contamination control. The position is full-time and located in Bang Pa-in, Thailand.

Must Have

• Work closely with other departments on product, process, and work-related changes.
• Keep top management informed about departmental performance.
• Ensure reliability test suites are effective and aligned with product design.
• Develop new test methods when existing ones are not applicable.
• Partner with product designers and internal supplier engineering teams for quick response to local test triggers.
• Promote the use of data analytics to enhance reliability predictions.
• Align component-level test suites with customer expectations and feedback.
• Adhere to ISO standards (QMS, EHS, OHSAS).
• Support WDTH requirements, including ESD and contamination control.
• Drive and monitor reliability testing to ensure committed results.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemical Science, Chemical Engineering, Data science, Material Science, or a related field.
• Internship experience and projects related to reliability tests or processes.
• Strong teamwork, communication, interpersonal, and relational skills.
• Skills in Analytics tools.
• Knowledge in Coding (Python, SQL).
• Good level of English proficiency (written/verbal).
• Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and work collaboratively.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Work closely with other departments to ensure all teams are updated on changes related to products, processes, and work-related issues.

Performance Reporting:

• Keep top management informed about departmental performance against set goals and objectives.

Test Suite Management:

• Ensure reliability test suites are effective and aligned with current product design requirements.

• Partner with product designers and internal supplier engineering teams to ensure quick response to local test triggers.

Data Analytics:

• Promote the use of data analytics to enhance reliability predictions.

Customer Alignment:

• Align component-level test suites with customer expectations and feedback to maintain satisfaction.

Compliance:

• Adhere to ISO standards (QMS, EHS, OHSAS).
• Support WDTH requirements, including ESD and contamination control.

Execution & Follow-Up:

• Drive and monitor reliability testing to ensure results are delivered as committed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemical Science, Chemical Engineering, Data science, Material Science, or a related field
• Internship experience and projects related to reliability tests or processes.

SKILLS:

• Strong in teamwork, communication, interpersonal and relational skills to develop a good relationship within the organization
• Skills in Analytics tools
• Knowledge in Coding (Python, SQL)
• Demonstrate a good level of English proficiency (written/verbal).
• Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment
