NPI FA Engineer

This NPI FA Engineer role involves performing Failure Analysis on electronic IC components to determine failure mechanisms and root causes for internal qualifications, manufacturing rejects, and customer returns. The position requires a strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, process, and assembly, along with hands-on experience in various FA techniques such as Optical Microscopy, X-ray, SEM/EDX, and FIB. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong IC deprocessing skills are essential.

Must Have

• Perform Failure Analysis (FA) on electronic IC components.
• Determine failure mechanism and root cause for failures.
• Semiconductor device physics basics.
• Knowledge and experience of semiconductor process and assembly.
• Hands-on experience on various FA techniques (Optical Microscopy, X-ray, SEM/EDX, FIB).
• Excellence written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong IC deprocessing skills (wet and dry).

Good to Have

• Strong fault isolation experience.

Experience : Bachelors and 5+ years of related experience or Masters degree and 3+ years of related experience or PhD and no experience

• Possesses hands-on experience on various FA techniques e.g. Optical Microscopy, 2D/3D X-ray, Mechanical Cross-sectioning, SEM/EDX, Ion Milling, SAM, Laser Decapper, Chemical works, Ga and Plasma FIB. Strong fault isolation experience is a plus
• Must have excellence written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong IC deprocessing skills (wet and dry).
