Job Description

Tesla Engineering Germany GmbH is seeking an NPI (New Product Introduction) Technician to perform complex electro-mechanical assembly, support build processes, rework components, create documentation, update production records, maintain pilot lines, and troubleshoot equipment and processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on assembly experience, completed technical training (mechanic, mechatronics, or similar), strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, proficiency in operating production machinery (GUIs or programming languages), excellent communication skills, and experience with NPI of power electronic products and/or mass production. The role requires precise work, collaboration with engineers and operations, maintaining a clean workspace, and accurate record-keeping.

Good To Have:

Experience with NPI of power electronic products
Mass production experience
G-code/pseudo-code programming

Must Have:

3+ years hands-on assembly experience
Technical training (mechanic, mechatronics)

What You’ll Do

Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical assembly work while maintaining a clean and orderly work area

Support build processes, perform reworks on components (turning/milling), and prepare documentation for Design and Manufacturing Engineers

Ability to read, interpret, and create documentation and drawings, and to give and follow precise verbal and written instruction

Responsible for updating production records to ensure accurate tracking of processes

Maintain NPI Pilot Lines to keep current with changes in product design and manufacturing process

Troubleshooting equipment and processes by collaborating with engineering, quality and operations

What You’ll Bring

Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in assembly for new products

Completed technical training as a mechanic engineer, mechatronics engineer or similar

Good understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems

Proficiency in operating production machinery either through graphical user interfaces (GUIs) or by using programming languages (e.g., G-codes, pseudo-code)
