Rockstar Games is seeking a highly capable and experienced Nuke Compositor for its Video Production Department in Carlsbad, CA. This full-time, in-office role involves creating trailers and video assets for online, social media, broadcast TV, and cinema. The successful candidate will perform 2D/3D tracking, matchmove, composite, paint, and roto work, adhering to current standards, and will collaborate closely with team leads, other compositors, motion graphics artists, and producers in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities also include updating custom Nuke Tools.
Must have:
  • 2D and 3D track, matchmove, composite, paint, and roto work following our current standards and style.
  • Function in a fast-paced environment with tight turnarounds.
  • Work closely with a team lead, other Nuke Compositors, Motion Graphics artists, and Producers.
  • Update custom Nuke Tools to suit current and future workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Fluency with latest versions of Foundry NukeX, Boris FX Mocha Pro, and related Plug-ins.
  • Experience with various formats, frame rates, and compression details.
  • Experience working within a team environment as part of a larger production pipeline.
  • Strong communication skills to foster collaboration within the team.
  • Strong artistic aesthetic and eye for detail.
  • Some knowledge of Python scripting within Nuke.
  • Ability to work well with various styles and methods of execution.
Good to have:
  • Experience in film/TV motion title sequences.
  • R&D and design experience.
  • Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects knowledge.

We are on the lookout for talented for a highly capable and experienced professional to join our Video Production Department.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of our new state-of-the-art game development studio.

WHAT WE DO

The Video Production Dept creates all trailers and video assets released online, on social media, on broadcast TV and in Cinema.

The pay range for this position in San Diego at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
