Job Description

TVH is seeking an Operations Manager for their Sharjah team. This role involves operational management within company policy, reporting to the VP Operations EMEA in Belgium, and being part of the EMEA Operations Management Team. The manager will lead a team of 20 people on-site, coordinating stocking activities, developing team leaders, and optimizing departmental efficiency.
Must Have:
  • Coordinate and organize stocking activities to meet quality requirements.
  • Coach and develop team leaders.
  • Implement personnel-related framework within the department.
  • Detect and apply opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Provide permanent communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Document and structure procedures and processes.
  • Implement prevention department policies and empower safety consciousness.
  • Keep up to date with operations management evolution and strengthen leadership skills.
  • A Master degree in business economics, or equivalent by experience.
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years relevant logistics experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior/leading position.
  • Very good knowledge of warehouse systems and procedures.
  • Insights/experience in warehousing and logistics processes.
  • Fluent knowledge of English.
  • Both result and people oriented personality.

We are looking for an Operations Manager to strengthen our team in Sharjah.

Within the framework of the policy defined by the company, you will be responsible for the operational management.

You will report to the VP Operations EMEA in Belgium and you are part of the EMEA Operations Management Team. You manage a team of 20 people who operate on our site every day.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organize the various stocking activities, according to the organization's priorities and needs, in order to provide effective service that meets the organization's quality requirements.
  • Coach and develop team leaders in order to utilize their skills and knowledge optimally.
  • Be responsible for the implementation of the personnel-related framework within the department, within the Warehouse department's policies, in order to contribute to the realization of the defined HR policy in the organization.
  • Detect and apply opportunities that lead to concrete operational improvements for the department, in order to continue optimizing the department's efficiency and internal operation.
  • Provide permanent communication with the various internal stakeholders in a matrix organization in order to optimize collaboration and efficiency.
  • Document and structure procedures and processes within the department to ensure that all processes are clear and defined in each specific task.
  • Implement the policies identified by the prevention department and empower all employees to be safety conscious in order to become a department that represents the security, order and cleanliness and thus to convey the vision of TVH Group.
  • Keep up to date with the evolution in the field of operations management and continuously work to strengthen leadership skills.

How to succeed / Your profile

  • A Master degree in business economics, or equivalent by experience.
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years relevant logistics experience of which minimum 5 years in a senior/leading position.
  • Very good knowledge of warehouse systems and procedures.
  • Insights/experience in warehousing and logistics processes.
  • Fluent knowledge of English.
