Job Description
Install, configure, manage and maintain multiple Oracle databases.
o Perform operational procedures and support (including data modelling, replication, administration, maintenance, capacity planning, space management and recovery).
o Understanding of the governance required to retain non-production availability (incl checks, patching, capacity management, security).
o Work closely with infrastructure and application leads to design and implement database solutions.
o Identify and implement strategies for database performance enhancement initiatives.
o Support the database infrastructure within the bank.
o Responsibilities include ensuring the provision of Oracle DBA cover, workload management and analysis of non-production changes.
o Provide consultancy support and involve in war room discussions during major incidents.
o Actively support database infrastructure migration programs in the bank.
o Identify application related tuning requirements and support the implementation as part of the Bank s SIU initiatives.
o Be the primary Oracle database architect
