Key duties include processing payroll, administering benefits, managing timekeeping and absences, maintaining HRIS data, and resolving employee queries. Must have:
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll operations experience
  • Specific expertise in Spanish payroll, labor law, tax, and social security
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Proficiency in ADP
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Detail-oriented and analytical
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with Workday
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field

YOUR ROLE :

As a Payroll Specialist you will support our growing operations in Spain. The role is a part time job. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of Spanish payroll legislation, social security, and tax requirements, along with strong operational experience in HR administration.

This role is vital in ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with legal standards, and a seamless employee experience across the entire lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding.

  • Execute HR transactions and administrative tasks including payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle activities (onboarding/offboarding).

  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of Spanish payroll-related taxes and compliance with local regulations.

  • Track and manage timekeeping, employee absences, and produce regular reports for internal use.

  • Support the administration of benefits programs and maintain accurate employee data in HRIS systems.

  • Maintain and verify all compliance-related records and internal policies, minimizing legal risk.

  • Manage accurate and timely HRIS input (e.g., Workday) of employment data such as contracts, compensation, and personal information.

  • Resolve day-to-day employee and management queries, ensuring a smooth and positive employee experience.

  • Collect and analyze workforce data to improve HR procedures and deliver actionable insights for decision-makers.

YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll operations, with specific expertise in Spanish payroll, labor law, tax, and social security regulations.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English

  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll software; Proficency in ADP is a must and familiarity with Workday is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and analytical with a strong ability to maintain accuracy.

  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Autonomous, proactive, and solution-driven mindset.

  • Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism.
