The People Manager will lead the full employee lifecycle, optimizing people processes to drive business success, employee growth, and a performance-driven culture. This includes enhancing talent attraction, development, and rewards strategies. The role involves strategic partnership with leadership, ensuring people strategies align with business goals, particularly in a global gaming company with a strong Vietnamese talent base. The manager will foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of senior HR experience in mid-sized companies.
  • Experience in high-tech, gaming, or media industries.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Vietnamese language skills are a bonus.

OBJECTIVES

  • Lead the full employee lifecycle, designing and optimizing people processes to drive business success, employee growth, and a performance-driven culture during Amanotes’ transformation.
  • Enhance talent attraction, development, and rewards strategies, targeting a specific improvement in key talent metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, employee retention).
  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership, ensuring people strategies align with business goals and the unique needs of a global gaming company with a strong Vietnamese talent base.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and adaptability, empowering employees to thrive in a fast-paced gaming environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • 1. Talent Attraction & Employer Branding
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract top gaming and tech talent, leveraging employer branding, targeted recruitment campaigns, and partnerships with universities and industry groups.
  • Design selection processes that assess for both technical skills and cultural fit, ensuring alignment with Amanotes’ values and business needs.

  • 2. People Cycle Design & Optimization
  • Architect and continuously improve the entire people cycle, including onboarding, performance management, learning and development, career progression, and offboarding for organization.
  • Implement agile, data-driven processes for regular feedback, performance reviews, and career conversations, ensuring clarity, fairness, and transparency.
  • Lead the creation of personalized development plans, mentorship programs, and upskilling initiatives tailored to both local and international staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and adaptability through workshops, e-learning, and cross-functional projects.

  • 3. Employee Growth & Experience
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, well-being, and retention, such as recognition programs, wellness resources, and flexible work arrangements.
  • Ensure psychological safety and meaningful work by aligning roles with individual strengths and aspirations.
  • Use people analytics to monitor engagement, turnover, and satisfaction, proactively addressing issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • 4. Business Partnership
  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership, translating business objectives into people strategies that support growth, innovation, and market competitiveness in the gaming industry.
  • Provide insights on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management to enable effective scaling and international expansion.
  • Advise on compensation, benefits, and rewards to ensure market alignment and internal equity, collaborating with the Total Rewards specialist.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior HR role (e.g., HR Manager, Talent Manager) for a mid-sized company (100–300 employees), ideally in high-tech, gaming, or media industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of designing and managing the full employee lifecycle, with a focus on driving transformation and building high-performance cultures.
  • Experience managing diverse teams in a fast-moving, lean organization, with the ability to handle international staff from various countries.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English; Vietnamese language skills are a bonus for local collaboration.

  • People Cycle Mastery: Deep expertise in designing and managing the full employee lifecycle, especially in learning, organizational development, and talent management.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand business strategy and translate it into actionable people initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using HR analytics to inform strategy and measure impact.
  • Agile Mindset: Experience working in fast-paced, innovative environments; comfortable building systems from scratch and iterating quickly.
  • Cultural Fluency: Strong understanding of Vietnamese talent dynamics and experience managing multicultural teams.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and partner with leaders at all levels.
  • Innovation & Adaptability: Curious, entrepreneurial, and eager to explore high-impact solutions for people and organizational challenges.
  • Music/Creative Culture Fit: Appreciation for music and creativity, aligning with Amanotes’ culture.
