Physical Design Engineer

Designs and develops integrated circuits, overseeing definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development. Determines architecture and logic design, system simulation, and defines module interfaces. Contributes to multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuit layouts. Evaluates process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing/power use. Analyzes equipment and conducts experimental tests.
