A senior physical design engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited will be responsible for physical implementation activities for sub-systems, including floor-planning, place and route, clock tree synthesis, formal verification, physical verification (DRC/LVS), power delivery network, timing closure, and power optimization. The role requires expertise in PPA critical cores, high-frequency data-path timing convergence, and proficiency with tools like Synopsys ICC2, Cadence Innovus, PTSI, and Tempus. Collaboration with design, DFT, and PNR teams is essential, along with Tcl/Perl scripting skills. Candidates should have 3-6 years of experience in Physical Design/Implementation and a relevant engineering degree.

Must Have:

Perform physical implementation activities for Sub systems including Floor-planning, Place and Route, CTS, Formal verification, Physical Verification (DRC/LVS), PDN, Timing Closure and power optimization.
Demonstrate good exposure to PD implementation of PPA critical Cores and make right PPA trade-off decisions.
Possess knowledge in timing convergence of high frequency data-path intensive Cores and advanced STA concepts.
Be well versed with Block level PnR convergence using Synopsys ICC2/Cadence Innovus and timing convergence in PTSI/Tempus in latest technology nodes.
Have a good understanding of clocking architecture.
Collaborate closely with design, DFT, and PNR teams to resolve issues related to constraints validation, verification, STA, and Physical design.
Be well versed with Tcl/Perl Scripting.
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of Hardware Engineering experience, OR a Master's with 1+ year, OR a PhD.
Have 3-6 years of experience in Physical Design/Implementation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

3- 6yrs years of experience in Physical Design/Implementation
