Position background

In the GTM analytics COE our mission is to deliver impact by building machine learning products to optimize pricing and marketing investments and provide guidance to our sales organization.

As a Platform Engineer Specialist, you will focus on ensuring that our systems and infrastructure are operating at peak performance, and you will collaborate across teams on various projects. You will apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. You will Implement automation workflows across platforms to deliver a premium experience for development teams, minimizing manual intervention and maximizing efficiency.

What you will do

• Installs, configures, and tests and maintains operating systems, application software, with a high degree of expertise and independence.
• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of a product or solution.
• Perform server administration activities, security permissions, group policies.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Implementing and managing security or integrity and backup procedures in collaboration with other stakeholders.
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and come up with solutions.
• Develop libraries and scripts to automate platform environment deployments and backups.
• Develop and maintain code libraries, plugins which help automate engineering workloads.
• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
• Creates and maintains detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user manuals. 

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field.
• 5+ years on a similar role.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. 
• Experience with AWS Services as (IAM, KMS, S3, Glue, EC2, EKS)
• Experience working with IaC technologies such as Terraform.
• Experience with Git, GitHub Actions.
• Proficient to code using technologies like pySpark, Python, SQL.
• Knowledge of working with Jira and Jira Service Desk is welcomed.
• Understanding of Big Data technologies like Hive, Hadoop, Spark is an advantage.
• Experience on working with DataIku DSS or Databricks or Posit platform is an advantage.
