Job Summary

As a Post-Production Coordinator at ICON Creative Studio, you will manage the final stages of animated shows, ensuring timely completion and smooth inter-departmental communication. Key tasks include developing and tracking schedules, resource management, organizing review sessions, and handling asset management. You will maintain quality standards, resolve issues, prepare final deliverables, and archive files, playing a crucial role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the studio's high-quality standards.

Must Have

  • Support inter-departmental communication with HODs and Producers
  • Maintain knowledge of post-production processes and workflows
  • Collaborate on post-production schedules for various sessions
  • Act as a liaison for efficient coordination and issue resolution
  • Manage scheduled deliveries of elements with vendors and clients
  • Coordinate with production, editorial, sound, QC, and dubbing teams
  • Research and gather awards and festival submission information
  • Ensure scripts are current for recording sessions and final delivery
  • Schedule client calls, meetings, and sound house mixes
  • Address and resolve issues promptly with department leads
  • Maintain an organized database of project documents and assets
  • Degree in Film, Animation, or a related field
  • Familiarity with animation workflows and external vendor coordination
  • Previous post-production coordination experience in animation, film, or related fields
  • Knowledge of post-production tools (ShotGrid, Premier) and deliverables formats
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage databases, schedules, and assets
  • Effective problem-solving under tight deadlines and flexibility
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with strong time management

Job Overview

As a Post-Production Coordinator, you will oversee the final stages of animated shows, ensuring deadlines are met and facilitating effective communication across departments. Your responsibilities will include developing and tracking schedules, managing resources, and organizing review and approval sessions to keep post-production on course. You will also handle asset management, uphold quality standards, and resolve any issues that arise. Additionally, you will prepare final deliverables and organize files for archiving, playing a vital role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the studio's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Heads of Departments and Producers to ensure communication between departments.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of post-production processes, technical terminology, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Post-Production and Producers to ensure the post-production schedule includes all necessary sessions, such as assemblies, picture edits, locks, reviews, mixes, color corrections, QC checks, and final deliveries.
  • Act as a liaison between team members, ensuring efficient coordination and resolution of post-production needs.
  • Work closely with the post editor to manage scheduled deliveries of elements between production, sound houses, QC teams, third-party vendors, and clients.
  • Coordinate between production, editorial, colorists, sound houses, QC, closed captioning, descriptive video, dubbing teams, and clients under the guidance of department leads.
  • Research and gather information on awards and festival submissions, including deadlines, fees, qualifications, and asset requirements, uploading materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure scripts are current for recording sessions, pickups, closed captioning, and final delivery.
  • Schedule client calls, meetings, and sound house mixes, working with the Post-Production Head of Department to align calendars.
  • Address and resolve issues promptly in collaboration with Heads of Departments and team leads.
  • Maintain an organized database of project documents, assets, and exports for the Post-Production Department.

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Film, Animation, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with animation workflows (e.g., dubbing, closed captioning) and external vendor coordination.
  • Previous post-production coordination experience in animation, film, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of workflows (e.g., picture edits, sound mixes, QC checks), post-production tools (e.g., ShotGrid, Premier), and deliverables formats.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and vendors.
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage databases, schedules, and assets, and solve challenges proactively.
  • Effective problem-solving under tight deadlines and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, and proactive, with strong time management.
  • Experience with awards submissions or localization processes is a bonus.

The wage range for this role reflects compensation across all of ICON’s projects. The final salary will be determined based on the specific position, the current show assignment, and the applicant’s experience and portfolio. This range accounts for varying levels of experience and responsibilities.
