Job Description

As a PR Manager for Greater China, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans that align with brand objectives across China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. This includes driving media relations, brand building, stakeholder management, and overseeing internal and external communication activities. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's presence by focusing on PR strategy, event management, and activations, including leading product launches, store openings, and corporate initiatives with localized campaigns. You will also cultivate and manage relationships with key media, journalists, and influencers, and serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries.
Must have:
  • Proven experience in PR, communications, or marketing
  • Deep expertise in Greater China markets (media, consumer behavior, cultural nuances)
  • Strong existing network with CN/HK/TW media, celebrities, and agencies
  • Exceptional bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English
  • Strategic thinker with creativity and results-driven mindset

Job Description

As a PR Manager(GC), you lead the development and execution of strategic communication plans that align with the brand's objectives across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Drive media relations, brand building, stakeholder management, and activations while overseeing internal and external communication activities. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s presence in both markets, focusing on PR strategy, including event management and activations. 

How you will contribute: 
Strategic PR & Brand Leadership

  • Develop and execute integrated PR strategies to elevate brand visibility and reputation across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
  • Lead product launches, store openings, and corporate initiatives with localized campaigns. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and campaign performance to optimize strategies.

Media & Influencer Relations

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key media, journalists, and influencers to secure high-impact coverage. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, ensuring consistent messaging.  
  • Oversee press materials (releases, media kits, briefing documents) tailored to each market.  

VIP & Celebrity Engagement

  • Develop and execute celebrity/influencer strategies to amplify brand credibility.  
  • Negotiate and manage partnerships with high-profile ambassadors and KOLs.
  • Plan exclusive VIP events, trips, and experiences to foster long-term brand loyalty.  

Event Management & Activations

  • Lead end-to-end execution of PR events (launches, exhibitions, fashion shows) across the markets.
  • Collaborate with global/regional teams to adapt event concepts for local audiences.

Stakeholder & Budget Management

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Retail, E-Commerce) to align messaging.
  • Oversee PR budgets, ensuring ROI-driven resource allocation.
  • Report on campaign performance and market insights to senior leadership.

What you need to succeed

  • Proven experience in in PR, communications, or marketing, preferably in luxury/fashion.
  • Deep expertise in Greater China markets (media, consumer behavior, cultural nuances).
  • Strong existing network with CN/HK/TW media, celebrities, and agencies.
  • Exceptional bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strategic thinker with creativity, negotiation skills, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, agencies, and high-stakes projects under pressure.

Additional Information

This is a full time permanent contract based at Shanghai Office.
