The Principal Consultant, Attack & Penetration, will be fully remote and hired anywhere in the continental U.S. This role is pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution, guiding teams on project processes and deliverables, and driving the technical relationship with customers. You will act as an industry leader and technical excellence leader, providing exceptional services to strategic clients. Responsibilities include working with customers to articulate business requirements and translate them into security assessments, acting as a recognized expert across multiple solution areas, delivering and leading complex projects, and presenting to large groups as an authority. You should be able to handle difficult questions and win client support, modify methodologies as required, possess broad awareness of the security/technology space, and contribute to industry groups or publications. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and approximately 10-15 years of related work experience, with 5-10 years specifically in penetration testing.
Must have:
  • 5-10 years of penetration testing experience
  • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model)
  • Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX)
  • Strong understanding of security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
  • Strong understanding of application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell)
  • Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Very knowledgeable of multiple security concepts and methods
  • Understand the Services business and its impact
  • Working knowledge of virtual machine environments
  • Working knowledge of mainframe security packages
  • Working knowledge of relational database management systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Job Details

This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S. 

The Principal Consultant will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes, deliverables. This individual will drive the technical relationship with our customers.

Acts as overall industry leaders and leaders of technical excellence providing exceptional services and support to strategic clients setting the bar for others to aspire to.

  • Able to deliver and lead other consultants in complex projects

  • Can modify and change methodologies as required

  • Broad awareness of the security/ technology space as a whole

  • Contributor to industry groups and/or publications

 

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and approximately 10-15 years of related work experience

  • 5-10 years of penetration testing experience

  • Very knowledgeable of multiple security concepts and methods 

  • Understand the Services business and impact decisions have to the organization holistically

  • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, mainframe), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.) and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell).

  • Working knowledge of operating systems, virtual machine environments, mainframe security packages, and relational database management systems

  • Willingness to travel to meet client needs

  • Valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong written and presentational skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences

  • Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality
