Job Description

Join SimCorp as a Principal Software Engineer in Manila, leading innovation in financial technology. This role is crucial for shaping the technical direction of modern integration frameworks for SimCorp Dimension, focusing on design, development, and strengthening core infrastructure. You will mentor skilled developers, drive architectural decisions, ensure scalability and security of solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, supporting clients on their Cloud journey.
Must have:
  • Provide technical leadership and set coding standards.
  • Drive architectural decisions with Product Management and Architects.
  • Lead design and development of integration and connectivity solutions.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of solutions.
  • Guide and mentor team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote best practices, testing strategies, and modern engineering methods (TDD, CI/CD).
  • Participate in backlog grooming, crafting user stories, and product demonstrations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and technical strategy.
  • Demonstrated expertise in .NET/C# development.
  • Proficiency with .NET (4.7–8.0), OAuth2.0/OIDC, ASP.Net Web API, gRPC, RDBMS, logging & tracing.
  • Solid understanding of OOP, TDD, DDD, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience leading code reviews and improving code quality.
  • Understanding of security best practices for distributed systems.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Effective communication skills and fluency in English.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Azure cloud (API Gateway, Key Vault, Service Bus, Azure AD, AppInsights).
  • Strategic thinking and effective analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Agile practices.
  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Product Development brings together 750+ technology professionals across 75 agile teams, leading innovation in our solutions and organization.

As a Tech Lead in our Connectivity Frameworks Product Area, you’ll play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our modern integration frameworks for SimCorp Dimension. You’ll lead by example in design and development, strengthen our core infrastructure, and support clients on their Cloud journey—while mentoring and guiding a team of skilled developers.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Provide technical leadership, set coding standards, and drive architectural decisions in collaboration with Product Management and Architects.
  • Lead the design and development of integration and connectivity solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Guide and mentor team members through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Cultivate a culture of quality by promoting best practices, testing strategies, and modern engineering methods (e.g., TDD, CI/CD).
  • Participate meaningfully in backlog grooming, crafting user stories, and conducting product demonstrations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and long-term technical strategy.

What We Value

We're looking for someone who combines technical excellence with leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in .NET/C# development, along with a history of producing high-quality, production-ready solutions.
  • Proficiency with .NET (4.7–8.0), OAuth2.0/OIDC, ASP.Net Web API, gRPC, RDBMS, logging & tracing.
  • A solid understanding of object-oriented programming, test-driven development, domain-driven design, SOLID principles, and various design patterns.
  • Experience leading code reviews and improving code quality (knowledge of SonarQube or Codescene is a plus).
  • Understanding of security best practices for distributed systems.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to individuals regardless of their technical background.
  • Effective communication skills and fluency in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure cloud (API Gateway, Key Vault, Service Bus, Azure AD, AppInsights).
  • Strategic thinking and effective analytical skills focused on business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with Lean Agile practices.
  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
