Job Description

Craft:

UX & UI

Job Description:

We craft brilliant games of mass appeal that bring moments of magic to everyday life. We’re seriously playful; we balance art and science, learn fast, and support each other to deliver outsized impact.

Your role within our Kingdom

If you love designing complex systems that help internal teams work smarter and ultimately make players happier, this is your playground.

As a Principal UX Designer in the Player Experience Operations (PXO) group, focused on Live Operations, you’ll help shape the UX strategy and the tools that help game teams observe player behavior, decide on actions, and deliver live updates quickly - what we call the ‘Observe-Decide-Act’ loop. You’ll create clarity in ambiguity, evolve shared standards and systems, and partner with product and engineering to deliver faster, smarter Live Ops at scale. Your work will create a more seamless user experience across tools, make systems easier to use, and help teams deliver player value faster.

What you’ll do

Strategy & Systems

  • Lead the UX strategy for key LiveOps systems (such as our internal operations and experimentation platforms), connecting user needs to the foundational tools that help teams deliver improvements faster.
  • Lead the evolution of our Unified Design Standards, our internal design-system foundation, by defining shared components, usage guidelines, and best practices that improve quality and speed.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Machine-Learning specialists to run discovery, shape problem spaces and success measures, and land step‑change improvements in high‑value loops.

Delivery & Craft

  • Design end-to-end systems, from information architecture and interaction design to workflow orchestration that simplify complex internal tools, improve user velocity, and enable confident experimentation.
  • Promote an evidence-driven design culture, using research and usage data to guide design decisions

Leadership & Influence

  • Coach Senior Designers and champion design quality across our LiveOps and Shared Tech teams.
  • Create shared clarity: document vision, key decisions, and trade-offs; facilitate alignment across Live Ops and game teams to keep work moving.
  • Work closely with frontend and platform engineers to explore feasibility early, ensure usability and accessibility, and deliver high-quality experiences.

Skills to create thrills

  • Extensive experience in UX with recent senior-level or principal experience leading complex systems or platforms; portfolio shows outcomes (metrics, learning, impact), not just artifacts.
  • Mastery in interaction design, information architecture, and systems thinking; experience building or maintaining large-scale design systems, ensuring consistency and quality across teams.
  • Strong research integration; understands when and how to use qualitative and quantitative research methods and how to translate insights into product decisions and standards.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation; aligns diverse stakeholders and collaborates effectively in complex, cross-team environments with evolving goals.
  • Experience working with complex operational tools or data-driven internal systems
  • Nice to have: hands-on experience with frontend technologies (such as React) to prototype in code and work closely with engineers.

Ways of working

  • Hybrid; primary hub Stockholm with collaboration across distributed teams.
  • You’ll collaborate with leaders from Product, Engineering, and Data across our Shared Technology organization and game teams.
