Job Description

As a Procurement Supplier Engineer Business Partner, you will be responsible for supplier process validation, contributing to APQP plan development, and collaborating with R&D and suppliers on Design for Excellence (DfX). You will ensure Critical to Quality characteristics are communicated to suppliers and manage Part Submission Warrant plans. This role involves leading supplier improvements, communicating challenges, and fostering a matured supply chain quality. The role is based in Best, Netherlands, and requires at least 3 days per week in the office. The selected candidate will also have to travel up to 10% of the time. If you're looking for an on-site full-time role this might be the right one.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with mechanics, electro-mechanics, and manufacturing techniques.
  • 5+ years of related engineering experience and Process Validation.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485/9001 and FDA requirements.
  • Experience within an engineering function.
Good to have:
  • Direct working relationships with suppliers
  • Participated in several NPIs from start to finish
  • Direct shop-floor production engineering sustaining experience

Job Description

In this role you are responsible for the following activities:

  • Supplier process validation activities.

  • Core member of Supplier Engineering Business teams.

  • APQP plan development, execution, monitoring, and control as part of the NPI process.

  • Contribute to Supplier Project Book content.

  • Contribute to Design for Excellence (DfX) collaboration between R&D and Suppliers.

  • Critical to Quality characteristics flow down to Suppliers.

  • Part Submission Warrant plans, deliverables, line release, and completion.

  • Supplier improvement and development on APQP

  • Lead Supplier improvement and communicate the challenges and resolutions to stakeholders.

  • Co-develop matured supply chain quality through strong collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams

You're the right fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with mechanics, electro-mechanics, assemblies, and manufacturing techniques

  • Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience and Process Validation and Verification (medical device industry preferred)

  • ISO 13485/9001 and FDA requirement

  • Wide-ranging experience within an engineering function

  • Well-versed in Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement techniques

  • Direct working relationships with suppliers

  • Participated in several NPIs from start to finish

  • Direct shop-floor production engineering sustaining experience

  • Project Management

  • Problem-solving skills through Six Sigma/Leon/Other strategic approach.

This role is an office role.

Willingness to travel up to ~10% of the time
