Job Description
As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for designing plastic and component parts (2D and 3D) for vehicle connectors. Your duties include creating and tracking validation plans, presenting design proposals to customers for approval, resolving issues during customer vehicle builds, and maintaining the design database. You will also lead cross-functional teams to implement engineering changes and ensure adherence to work procedures, focusing on lean organization and continuous improvement.

- Good OEM customer relationship
- Basic knowledge of IATF16949
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Over 3 years of design work experience in a related area
- In-depth knowledge of injection molding and metal stamping
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Proficient CAD skills (CATIA/UG/Pro E)
- Good communication skills
Your Role
In your daily job you will:
- Design plastic and components (2D and 3D) for connectors in vehicle
- Make validation plan and follow up validation progress
- Present APTIV design proposals to customer and get customer approval
- Follow customer vehicle build events and solve related issues
- Setup/Maintain/Update design database
- Lead cross function team to implement Engineering changes
- Assure adherence to all work procedures
- Strive for lean organization and continuous improvement
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
- More than 3 years of design work experience in relative area
- Deep knowledge of injection molding and metal stamping
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Well trained CAD capability or CATIA/UG/Pro E
- Good communication skills
Nice to haves (preferred qualifications)
Good OEM customer relationship
Basic knowledge in IATF16949
