Position Overview

The Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Data team plays a vital role in advancing Autodesk’s data vision. We are building an open and extensible platform that connects customer teams in their tools of choice, shaping how the built world evolves through data. In joining our team, you will create and deliver a future-focused roadmap and vision for our platform capabilities.

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Product Manager (PM) who can help deliver value to customers and drive Autodesk’s mission forward. As a PM, you will define and advance key aspects of the product vision and roadmap. You will work closely with product managers, product owners, technical delivery teams, peer organizations, and—most importantly—our customers.

In this pivotal role, you are responsible for owning the product roadmap and shaping the product backlog with a balanced combination of business acumen and technical expertise. You ensure that strategic outcomes are clearly defined and reflected in the work of delivery teams. You develop and maintain clear plans to support these objectives, and communicate them effectively to peer teams and organizational leadership.

You prioritize capabilities using objective data and coordinate outcomes through regular engagement with product management peers across partner organizations. You also maintain consistent communication with organizational leadership to align on goals and progress. Your approach is characterized by an innovative and proactive mindset. Through this, you ensure solutions are designed for scalability, founded on trust and reliability, and prioritized to balance both urgency and importance.

You will report to the Director of Product Management for AEC Data, focused on Authoring Data & Insights.

Responsibilities

  • Shape product strategy by partnering with cross-functional teams to determine what to build and why
  • Define and execute product strategy for solutions supporting AEC industry project delivery and related data processes
  • Build scalable, secure platform capabilities that unlock new business models and embody innovative thinking
  • Utilize effective prioritization techniques to evaluate trade-offs and dictate clear, objective outcomes
  • Proficiently summarize customer needs in clear and concise roadmap capabilities
  • Support delivery teams in resolving ambiguous business priority conflicts to realize roadmap priorities
  • Work with Product Owners to ensure execution according to our Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) standards
  • Collect and respond to customer and stakeholder feedback, using objective data to align priorities with teammates
  • Drive chartering sessions to build shared definition of strategic product outcomes
  • Operate with transparency by default, collaborating regularly to realize the outcomes of our investments
  • Proactively communicate up-and-out regarding progress of the roadmap and related capabilities
  • Align with Experience Design (XD) teammates on clear and compelling journeys that define successful capabilities
  • Engages user research teams to ensure appropriate customer sentiment is reflected in our priorities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management or related field
  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience delivering technical products at scale, preferably for platform capabilities
  • Experience in the AEC industry or related technical design is highly beneficial
  • Experience implementing objective prioritization techniques to built a resilient roadmap
  • Possess a strong storytelling ability that motivates your audience and drives technical vision
  • Awareness of common data platform systems and software architecture principles
  • Experience delivering platform solutions and building APIs at an enterprise scale
  • Experience with agentic workflows and the evolution of AI in data platforms
  • Strong ability to adapt communication style for context, especially when translating business requirements to technical teams
  • Ability to understand, document, and mitigate risk
  • Ability to define and track KPIs and other measurable success criteria
  • Experience working across multiple technical teams, both within and across orgs
  • Strong business acumen - understand the products, markets, and processes for both Autodesk and the AEC industry
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies
