Job Description

This role is a key part of the Product team that defines and realizes Wind River’s Studio vision. You will help define and drive activities in relevant target segments with particular focus on value-add services in the areas of Observability within DevSecOps. You will collaborate with multiple teams including Engineering, UX, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, and present your ideas and plans to leadership. You will be responsible for developing product strategy, defining product features, planning and executing the product roadmap, engaging with customers, measuring success, and communicating with stakeholders. You will also be building proof-of-concepts for potential solutions.
Must have:
  • Deep understanding of observability, monitoring and how customers work with data
  • Experience working with DevOps methodologies and practices
  • Experience with observability/monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and similar
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with API design and integration
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, strategic as well as tactical planning skills

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Reporting to the Director for DevSecOps Products, this position will be an integral part of the Product team that defines and realizes Wind River’s Studio vision. You will help define and drive activities in relevant target segments with particular focus on value-add services in the areas of Observability within DevSecOps. You will collaborate with multiple teams including Engineering, UX, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, and present your ideas and plans to leadership. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Developing product strategy: Identifying market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Defining product features: Prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives
  • Planning: Creating a product roadmap, managing the product lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Executing: Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for development. Craft compelling user stories that maximize value and address user needs. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and advocate for improvements based on user feedback
  • Engaging with customers: Gathering feedback, conducting product demos, and training sessions
  • Measuring success: Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Communicating: Presenting product concepts, roadmaps, and delivery timelines to stakeholders
  • Building proof-of-concepts: Collaborating with engineering to build proof-of-concepts for potential solutions

  • Strong public speaking skills; comfortable delivering presentations, talks, and demos to large audiences, executives
  • Experience working closely with Ux, Marketing on GTM planning

 
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of experience, Master’s degree +5 years, or equivalent experience
  • A deep understanding of observability, monitoring, and how customers work with data
  • Experience working with DevOps methodologies and practices
  • Experience with observability/monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and similar
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with API design and integration.
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, strategic as well as tactical planning skills
