Job Description

Sony Pictures Television is seeking a Product Manager for the Insights, Strategy & Analytics organization. This role focuses on data product development and operational reporting across Marketing, Activation, and YouTube. The manager will transform marketing and media data into decision-ready intelligence through dashboards, predictive tools, data infrastructure, and automated applications. The position also supports digital video intelligence, driving data visibility, measurement, and optimization for paid ads, digital rights management, and owned & operated video performance. The ideal candidate combines analytical curiosity, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to scale data products that enhance campaign effectiveness and creative decision-making.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in entertainment, media, or marketing analytics, ideally within a studio or network environment.
  • Experience with modern data tools and platforms (Snowflake, dbt, SODA, Jupyter Notebook, or similar).
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (data science, BI, data engineering, strategy and research).
  • Strong SQL experience, intermediate Python experience, and comfort with SDLC methods including CI/CD, and automated QA.
  • Experience with data infrastructure and GenAI tooling, including applications that enhance analytics, reporting, or automation workflows.
  • Experience with predictive modeling, creative effectiveness, or media mix analytics.
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
  • Passion for entertainment and digital media innovation.
Must Have:
  • Partner with senior product leaders to define and deliver data products that support marketing, activation, and YouTube objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, media, insights, distribution, and finance teams to gather requirements and translate them into clear product specifications, stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage and enhance dashboards and reporting tools that measure campaign performance, attention, and audience behavior across channels.
  • Support digital video intelligence by defining requirements and success metrics for reporting on paid ads, DRM, and O&O content.
  • Partner with Data Science, Data Engineering, and BI teams to ensure data reliability engineering alignment and consistency across key datasets.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning, backlog management, and sprint execution, ensuring timely delivery of product features.
  • Collaborate with analytics partners to define and track KPIs for marketing effectiveness, attention forecasting, and media optimization.
  • Assist with QA testing, documentation, rollout materials, and training sessions to ensure user understanding and adoption.
  • Champion a data-driven culture, helping non-technical stakeholders interpret insights and make informed decisions.
  • 2-5 years of experience in product management, business analytics, or a related data-focused role.
  • Experience delivering data or analytics products such as dashboards, automation workflows, or performance measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with marketing, media, or campaign analytics, including awareness of KPIs like reach, frequency, engagement, and conversion.
  • Understanding of YouTube and digital video ecosystems, including ads reporting, DRM, and O&O content analytics.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience working within Agile or iterative delivery frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams with clear communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.

This role plays a pivotal part in transforming marketing and media data into decision-ready intelligence through the creation of dashboards, predictive tools, data infrastructure and automated data applications.

In addition to marketing and activation data products, this role will also support the digital video intelligence, driving data visibility, measurement, and optimization across paid ads, digital rights management, and owned & operated (O&O) video performance.

The ideal candidate combines analytical curiosity, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills to help scale data products that improve campaign effectiveness and creative decision-making across the studio. This candidate blends product management rigor, technical fluency, and curiosity about how data, AI, and analytics can drive creative and commercial impact.

Responsibilities

The anticipated base salary for this position is $115K to $150K. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
