Job Summary

This Product Owner Data role is within EPSILON France's Data & AI division, comprising 200 experts in data transformation. The position involves defining and managing data strategy, identifying use cases, leading workshops for requirements gathering, writing functional specifications and user stories, managing the backlog, and co-animating steering committees for Data/Big Data projects. The role ensures the quality and compliance of Big Data team deliveries with business needs.

Must Have

  • Define and pilot the Data strategy / Frame, challenge and prioritize Data projects.
  • Identify and formalize Data use cases.
  • Animate workshops for collecting business needs.
  • Formalize needs and write functional specifications.
  • Write User Stories.
  • Manage and prioritize the backlog.
  • Animate steering committees.
  • Develop functional and technical documentation and methodological tools.
  • Implement change management tools and processes.
  • Profile data.
  • Model data in collaboration with the team and other Data POs.
  • Report on development progress and escalate risks.
  • Co-animate steering instances with the MOE project manager.
  • Write documentation (specifications, usage sheets, results presentation, flash info).
  • Participate in maintaining the data dictionary, in conjunction with data owners and the DPO.
  • Set up the functional acceptance test plan in collaboration with different business units.
  • At least 2 years of experience on a Data project.
  • Solid knowledge of data management for business uses.
  • Ability to manipulate data for first-level analysis (SQL, BigQuery, Python).
  • Knowledge of Big Data environments.
  • Good communication skills with business and IT stakeholders.

Good to Have

  • Experience with data quality or data management (dictionaries, monitoring, data lineage).
  • Agile knowledge.
  • Sensitivity to new trends related to digital data (Big Data, CDP).

Job Description

You will join the Data & AI Hub, composed of 200 experts specialized in the Data transformation of companies:

  • Functional and technical framing,
  • Definition of use-cases,
  • Means strategy,
  • Data governance, modeling, and quality
  • Change management support.

Projects you will encounter with us:

Company Data Transformations: framing studies, POC, industrialization, and run

Examples: Framing a unique customer repository, framing and deploying data governance, supporting the implementation of a Datahub, assisting in the choice of CRM tools

  • Definition and piloting of the Data strategy / Framing, challenging, and prioritizing Data projects,
  • Identification and formalization of Data use cases,
  • Animation of workshops for collecting business needs,
  • Formalization of needs and drafting of functional specifications,
  • Drafting of User Stories,
  • Management and prioritization of the backlog,
  • Animation of monitoring committees,
  • Development of functional and technical documentation and methodological tools
  • Implementation of change management tools and processes.

Data/Big Data Projects (ideally in Agile mode)

Examples: Data quality audit and reporting, optimization of data management processes, Data migration project, redesign of decision-making reports...

  • Data profiling
  • Data modeling in collaboration with the team and other Data POs
  • Reporting on development progress and risk escalation
  • Co-animation of steering instances with the MOE project manager
  • Drafting of documentation (specifications, usage sheets, results presentation, flash info)
  • Participation in maintaining the data dictionary, in conjunction with data owners and the DPO
  • Implementation of the functional acceptance test plan in collaboration with the different business units

You are the privileged interlocutor for the various Business and IT stakeholders, and guarantor of the quality and compliance of the Big Data team's deliveries with the initial business need.

The piloting/project management aspect will depend on your profile's experience and appetite.

Qualifications

Coming from BI/BIG Data integration or Data Science professions, you have at least 2 years of experience on a Data project.

Your background has allowed you to acquire solid knowledge of data management for business uses.

Ideally, you have already worked on data quality or data management issues (dictionaries, monitoring, data lineage, etc.), and know how to manipulate data for first-level analysis (SQL, BigQuery, Python).

Agile knowledge is a plus.

You are sensitive to new trends related to the collection, reconciliation, storage, and exploitation of digital data (Big Data, CDP, etc.).

You have particular knowledge of Big Data environments.

You are a good communicator, comfortable with business and IT stakeholders.
