Job Summary
PayPal's Sales Learning and Effectiveness team is seeking a dynamic Product Sales Training Manager to empower and upskill our Global Markets sales force. In this pivotal role, they will develop, deliver, and continuously enhance product/sales training programs and sales plays that drive engagement, merchant product adoption, and growth across these segments. This will be achieved in partnership with Product Managers and our Commercial teams across the following business units: Small and Medium Business (SMB), Payment Service Providers (PSP), and Commercial Growth.
Must Have
- Identify and resolve issues within sales operations.
- Recommend best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Lead functional projects to improve sales support.
- Partner with departments to analyze business trends.
- Mentor analysts and senior analysts.
- Leverage best practices and knowledge to improve products, tools, and process training for sales.
- Apply hands-on payments expertise, drawing from direct product role experience within the payments industry.
- Build compelling product-level narratives, pitch decks, and sales training materials.
- Act as a conduit between Product, Product Marketing Management (PMM), and Sales.
- Support new product rollouts and key initiatives.
- Assess sales knowledge gaps and design tailor-made learning path support.
- Collaborate regularly with peers, internal partners, and cross-functional project teams.
- Analyze sales and training data to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Create and manage engaging workshops, webinars, and e-learning content.
- Continuously gather feedback from sales leaders and account managers.
- Report on key training KPIs and learning outcomes to leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- 5+ years in sales enablement, training analysis, or product training.
- Demonstrated ability to support sales success globally and across segments.
- Proven independence and initiative.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing without authority.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), content authoring tools, and standard business software.

- Leverage best practices and knowledge to improve products, tools, and process training for sales, with particular focus on payments industry innovations and requirements.
- Apply hands-on payments expertise, drawing from direct product role experience within the payments industry, to ensure training delivers real-world relevance.
- Build compelling product-level narratives, pitch decks, and sales training materials that transform products into clear, actionable solution bundles for different customer needs.
- Act as a conduit between Product, Product Marketing Management (PMM), and Sales, driving effective product-level sales training across SMB, PSP, and Commercial Growth segments.
- Support new product rollouts and key initiatives, ensuring front-line sales teams are equipped for success for each business unit.
- Assess sales knowledge gaps and design tailor-made learning path support for each business unit, in partnership with global Training COE.
- Collaborate regularly with peers, internal partners, and cross-functional project teams; co-manage special initiatives that require cooperation across teams.
- Analyze sales and training data to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Create and manage engaging workshops, webinars, and e-learning content that turn complex product features into actionable learning.
- Continuously gather feedback from sales leaders and account managers; iterate support materials accordingly.
- Report on key training KPIs and learning outcomes to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- 5+ years in sales enablement, training analysis, or product training, preferably at a fintech, SaaS, or fast-paced technology company.
- Demonstrated ability to support sales success globally and across segments.
- Proven independence and initiative—able to determine own work approach and innovate outside formal processes.
- Strong data analysis skills—able to translate insights into actionable recommendations and measure training ROI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with a knack for making technical concepts clear and compelling.
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing without authority.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), content authoring tools, and standard business software.
- Growth mindset, self-starter attitude, and a passion for enabling others to succeed.
