As a Software Engineer - Java Developer, you will contribute to the development of best-in-class banking platforms used by thousands of banks and credit unions in the US. You will develop key product features, interact with functional roles and development leads, optimize code, participate in engineering processes, and provide production support. The role emphasizes technical excellence and continuous skill development, with opportunities to drive development best practices and craftsmanship, utilizing CoPilot and AI tools for enhanced productivity and quality.
Must have:
  • Contribute to development of key product features
  • Successfully interact and communicate with other functional roles and development leads
  • Assist in optimizing our code base within your team and across peer development teams
  • Understand and participate in engineering processes for your team
  • Provide production support as the need arises
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional software development
  • Experience with Java, REST APIs, XML, SQL
  • Experience with work tracking systems such as Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience using cloud services, either from Azure or AWS
  • Unit Testing
  • Agile best practices
Good to have:
  • Fintech or commercial banking experience
  • DevOps (builds, CI/CD, branch management)
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams
  • Security coding best practices
  • ORM experience
  • Aspect oriented programming
  • Familiarity with the PDF spec and possibly tools to manipulate PDF’s, like iText
  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, C#

SOFTWARE PRODUCT ENGINEER – JAVA DEVELOPER

*This is a hybrid position requiring 8 days per month at an approved Wolters Kluwer location. ​*

We’re looking for an exceptional engineer that is a technical fit, someone that takes pride in their work and is constantly working to hone their skills. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work with a very talented team and help drive to development best practices and craftsmanship.

Some of the things you will develop, work on and be responsible for:

  • Contribute to development of key product features
  • Successfully interact and communicate with other functional roles and development leads
  • Assist in optimizing our code base within your team and across peer development teams
