1. Manage the assigned co-published journals in China
2. Work closely with societies and editors on the journal development strategy and implementation plans, improve the publication performance of the journals to best practice levels
3. Work with editors and production team to ensure timely publication schedule in accordance with agreed business practices and plans
4. Liaise closely with the Editorial Offices and global teams to address and resolve any issues arising during the editorial, production and publication process of the journals
5. Guide editors in handling ethical issues as per the international publishing standards
6. Prepare the publisher reports, journal assessment reports and other insightful analytical reports, attend the editorial board meetings regularly
7. Take charge of producing indexing plan with Editorial Offices based on journals development progress and needs, doing evaluations and giving improvement suggestions necessary, assist journals to be indexed in major indexing databases
8. Coordinate with global marketing team in executing journals’ annual marketing plans; support global journals in carrying out promotions in China and other branding-building activities to engage with local medical community
1. Master’s degree or above, most preferably from bio-medicine or related filed
2. Solid working experience in STM publishing industry, preferably 5+ year
3. Excellent relationship management and communication skills, result-driven and custom focused
4. Good time-management skills, multiple tasks management skills, and highly self-motivated
5. Strong commitment to service and teamwork
6. Excellent level of written and spoken English
7. Proven mastery of Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
