Job Description

This role involves identifying and targeting potential customers in the commercial and industrial sectors, both nationally and internationally, providing in-depth technical guidance to customers, conducting product presentations, building and maintaining customer relationships, preparing technical proposals, monitoring market trends, collaborating with internal teams, tracking sales activities, and assisting in sales budget preparation. The job focuses on providing cooling solutions for heavy industrial equipment, requiring strong technical knowledge and sales skills. The position is permanent full-time.
Must have:
  • Previous experience in technical sales, preferably in the industrial radiator industry
  • Strong understanding of radiator and heat exchange products and applications
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for achieving sales targets
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Who will you be working with? This role will be reporting to the Sales Manager. As a company that designs, manufactures, and distributes heat exchangers and radiators for heavy industrial equipment. They specialize in cooling and heat transfer solutions for the mining, oil and gas, and pipeline construction industries

Where is the position located? This is Permanent full time position at Welshpool, WA

What will your typical day look like?

  • Sales Development – Identify and target potential customers in the commercial and industrial sectors, both nationally and internationally. Direct selling and field representation to meet the needs of your designated sales region.

  • Technical Support – Provide in-depth knowledge and technical guidance to customers helping them select the right cooling solutions based on their requirements.

  • Product Presentations – Conduct product and or brand presentations to prospective customers, explaining the benefits of using the Mesabi brand.

  • Client Relationships – Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers providing excellent after-sales support to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Quote Preparations – Prepare technical proposals and cost estimates based on customer specifications.

  • Market Research – Monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing feedback to the management team.

  • Collaboration – Work closely with the customer service, logistics and the engineering team to ensure orders are fulfilled on time. Collate and share technical information with the engineering design team.

  • Sales Reporting – Track sales activities, forecasts and pipeline status, reporting to management on progress and opportunities. Prepare reports as required by the Sales Manager.

  • Budgeting – Assist in sales budget preparation for assigned sales regions.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Previous experience in technical sales, preferably in the industrial radiator industry

  • Strong understanding of radiator and heat exchange products and applications

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical customers

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for achieving sales targets

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally with no travel restrictions to service customers and attend industry events

  • Commitment to Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements
