As a Site Director, you will lead operations, driving performance and continuous improvement at the Wabtec Hauts-de-France site(s). Responsibilities include supporting cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Project Management), ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and upholding operational excellence standards. You will oversee key processes like SIOP consolidation and budget planning. You will also mentor teams and report on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) metrics. The role is crucial for the site's long-term success and sustainability.
Must have:
  • 15-20 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or related field.
  • Fluent French speaker with strong English proficiency.
  • Proven leadership experience in Operations.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale projects.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning and team development.
Good to have:
  • CPIM and Lean Manufacturing certifications.

Who will you be working with?

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality, as well as with Product Line and Corporate stakeholders. Regular interaction with customers, suppliers, and internal partners like HR and Finance will be key to driving operational success.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Operations leadership team, you will be responsible for driving performance and continuous improvement across the Wabtec Hauts-de-France site(s). You will support cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Project Management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational excellence standards. Your role will involve leading key processes such as SIOP consolidation, budget planning, and EHS compliance, while also mentoring and developing high-performing teams. You will report to senior leadership, providing regular updates on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) metrics, and will play a critical role in shaping the site's long-term success and sustainability.

What do we want to know from you?

  • 15–20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in automotive or project-based environment

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field

  • Fluent French speaker with strong English proficiency

  • Proven leadership experience in Operations, with exposure to Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Project Management

  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale projects from start to finish

  • Strong skills in strategic planning, financial oversight, and team development

  • CPIM and Lean Manufacturing certifications are a plus

What will your typical day look like?

  • Oversee daily operations to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) targets

  • Lead cross-functional meetings to align on priorities and performance goals

  • Analyze KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Manage resources (human, financial, technical) to balance short- and long-term objectives

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including customers and suppliers

  • Foster a culture of operational excellence and employee development
