Job Description

Langland, a Publicis Health company, is seeking a Project Manager to support the recruitment and retention of clinical trial participants. The role involves a communications-led approach to create insight-based identities and accessible content for patients, caregivers, and HCPs across various print and digital channels, with global distribution and translation. The Project Manager will lead project teams through the entire lifecycle, ensuring financial awareness, adequate resourcing, and timely delivery. Key responsibilities include planning projects, building relationships, managing financial health through burn reports, mitigating risks, and working with third parties, especially for translations. The ideal candidate will have agency experience, a strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and commercial acumen.

Overview

Within Langland's Clinical Trial Experience discipline we focus on supporting the recruitment and retention of potential participants onto clinical trials. We take a communications-led approach focused on creating an insight-based identity and look & feel for the study, coupled with accessible content for patients, caregivers and HCPs. The materials we create are spread across a variety of channels including print and digital. Based on the global nature of the work our materials are also translated and distributed around the world. 

 

As a Project Manager you will work across a wide variety of projects and tasks, leading your project team through all stages of the project lifecycle making sure we are financially aware, have the right resource in place and are hitting our deadlines. The role is pivotal in making the correct commercial decisions for the benefit of the Agency, whilst also enabling our creativity, expertise and craft to shine. You will be the person the team looks at to provide a solution when we are in a tight spot, and you will be confident enough to bring all team members on that journey. You will need outstanding attention to detail, a logical approach and great communication skills. Financial systems, spreadsheets and timing plans come naturally to you and you use them to flag and mitigate risks while driving towards the end goal.


Responsibilities

  • You plan and lead the way on how to approach a given project
  • You build relationships and communicate with clarity and certainty
  • You build trust in your decision making and show the way by doing
  • Lead projects and be responsible for their overall delivery
  • Create accurate resourcing plans and timelines for projects
  • Track the financial health of your projects through burn reports
  • Support other team members with reports, tracking and administration tasks
  • Manage resource bookings for your projects and work with other departments to secure the correct resource
  • Constantly highlight risks and provide solutions to mitigate them
  • Manage change and be flexible in changing course with the overall delivery as the focus
  • Work with 3rd parties to provide services and be responsible for them delivering, with a specific focus on translations
  • Make sure project delivery remains on track at all times
  • Ensure the correct approvals are in place for any work going through the Agency
  • Prioritise your workload and required tasks so they are fulfilled on time and effectively

Qualifications

  • You will be able to show experience as a project manager or executive within an agency environment - this role is ideal for a project executive looking for their next step up
  • You will have experience of the full project lifecycle ranging from client brief through to delivery
  • You must have an interest in working within healthcare - we’ll expect to see genuine enthusiasm for what we do here
  • You will be willing to work across all types of projects and tasks and thrive in a pressured environment where delivery is key
  • Ability to manage a wide range of projects in parallel with a focus on quality, budgets and timings
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate that into burn management & resource planning
  • Exceptional communication skills and be a logical, confident ‘voice’
  • Relationship management experience and ability to interact efficiently with various stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to influence and listen
